This notice sets out who stands behind Vine & Lintel, which company keeps the site online, how its pages about books, authors and churches are meant to be read, and what happens to data when you visit.

Independence and unofficial pages

Vine & Lintel is not affiliated with any author, publisher, church, denomination or agency mentioned on the site, nor with any project that previously used this domain (see About this domain). Pages about Robert Schnase and his books are unofficial, factual notes based on public sources. They are not endorsed by him or by his publisher, they do not reproduce his texts, and the site does not sell books or earn commissions. Book titles and the names of organizations are used only to identify them and belong to their owners.

Nature of the content

Articles discuss congregational life, Christian practice and church research for general information and reflection. They are not professional advice on governance, finance, law or pastoral care. For decisions affecting a congregation, consult your own denomination's rules and the appropriate leaders.

Texts and photos

• All articles were written for Vine & Lintel. Quoting a few lines with a link back is welcome; copying whole articles to another site is not.
• Scripture is cited by book, chapter and verse. Prayers, liturgies and hymns are described or briefly paraphrased rather than reproduced.
• Each photograph is either in the public domain or dedicated to it under CC0. The author and source appear in the caption and, in full, on the photo credits page.

Privacy

Visiting Vine & Lintel leaves no cookie in your browser. The site runs no analytics, no advertising code and no embedded social media buttons, and it loads its fonts and images from its own domain rather than from third parties. There is nothing to sign up for and no form to fill in. The only data processed is what any web host needs: Cloudflare handles technical information such as IP addresses in its server logs to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse.
