Worship skits, Sunday school tools and forms for creative planning

Mike Renquist, Lay Leader in charge of the Five Practices initiative at Saint John’s UMC in Austin, Texas has shared all of the resources they have used during a five-week church wide study.

The planning groups had wonderful outcomes including devotional reading by the whole congregation, and superior worship services/sermons, etc., culminating in our annual stewardship campaign.  They presented the group outcomes for both worship services on Feb 22, and recruited more people around those projects.

In addition, they are re-structuring their Church Council standing committees to reflect RH, PW, IFD, RMS and EG and have recruited great new leaders.

They have developed four skits for worship, five one-pagers for Sunday School classes (youth and adults) to use during the five weeks and several forms to gather data.

As leader for Passionate Worship in our church, I found St. Johns' skits and reflection sheet to be very helpful. Thanks so much for making them available online. I also love the poster!
